Recalcitrant Radiance, 13 Dec 2019 – 29 Feb 2020 

Recalcitrant Radiance, a solo exhibition of the Australian artist Daniel Boyd at the gallery’s Busan space on view from December 13, 2019, to February 29, 2020. The exhibition marks the artist’s first solo presentation in Korea. Over the years, Boyd has questioned and challenged the preexisting romanticist notions behind the colonial history of Australia, seeking to restore the perspectives often overlooked in hegemonic historical discourse. Beautiful. Strange. Dirty., 28 Nov 2019 – 18 Jan 2020 Sungsic Moon

This is the artist’s second solo exhibition at Kukje Gallery since 2011 and his first solo exhibition in four years. Displayed both on the first floor of K2 and in the K3 gallery, Beautiful. Strange. Dirty. will consist of new drawings and paintings in three groups that altogether encompass a series of more than seven distinctive bodies of works.

When The Year 2000 Comes, 05 September - 26 October 2019 Haegue Yang

When The Year 2000 Comes, a solo exhibition by Haegue Yang, an internationally recognized artist based in Seoul and Berlin. This is the artist’s first exhibition at Kukje and fourth solo exhibition in Korea since her last presentation at Leeum, Samsung Museum of Art in 2015. Yang is known for her experimental interpretation of tracing the paths of seemingly unrelated historical figures and events. Read more

In our dreams we have plan, 14 August - 27 October 2019 Superflex

Solo exhibition of work by SUPERFLEX on view at the gallery’s Busan space. Founded in 1993 by Jakob Fenger, Bjørnstjerne Christiansen, and Rasmus Nielsen, SUPERFLEX contemplates the nature of a globalized world and its power structure while persistently questioning the role of artists within a contemporary society.
