The gallery occupies a completely renovated building located on rue Notre-Dame in the heart of the Petite Bourgogne district. The main exhibition space is a bright minimalist “white cube” space which hosts a diverse, vibrant and refined programming of individual and collective exhibitions. The lower floor features a secondary exhibition room reserved for more intimate presentations and experimental practices. In addition, Robertson Arès participates in a selection of local and international fairs, including Plural, Art Toronto, Enter Art Fair and Expo Chicago.

Possessing over 15 years of experience in the Canadian and American art markets, gallery founders Emily Robertson and François Arès are actively involved in the Montreal and Canadian art scenes. Emily Robertson is Treasurer of the Association of Contemporary Art Galleries of Canada and President of the Société de développement du Boulevard St-Laurent. François Arès is part of the official Art Toronto Jury. Rachel Vincent-Clarke, director of the gallery since 2023, sits on the Editorial Committee of Magazine Ligne and is a member of the Honorary Committee of Les Impatients.
