The profile of the gallery relies on some of the most talented artists of the young generation and also includes a number of important Danish and International artists that emerged on the art scene in the eighties and nineties.

Between 2007 and 2014 Galerie Mikael Andersen operated a gallery space in Berlin and expanded its focus to the German art scene.

Galerie Mikael Andersen has curated a number of exhibition projects outside the gallery. Fairy Tales Forever at Aros – Aarhus Art Museum, 2005; Display, Charlottenborg, Copenhagen 1997 and City Space, public spaces, Copenhagen 1996. Participating artists has included Vanesssa Beecroft, Daniel Buren, Mona Hatoum, Pierre Huyghe, William Kentridge, Martin Kippenberger, Elke Krystufek, Paul McCarthy & Mike Kelley and Pipilotti Rist.
