Talks
Once again, this year’s Talks Programme brought together artists, creatives and leading voices from across different fields for a series of conversations exploring art, culture and the ideas shaping our time.
One of the talks, When Does Gastronomy Become Art?, explored the increasingly blurred boundaries between gastronomy and artistic practice.
Taking its starting point in Copenhagen’s Alchemist, where chef and founder Rasmus Munk combines food with scenography, performance, sound and social commentary, the conversation looked at how gastronomy is moving beyond the traditional restaurant experience and into new creative territory. The talk also connected to the ongoing discussion in Denmark about whether gastronomy could be formally recognised as an art form, raising questions about where we draw the line between craft, experience and art – and who gets to define it. Ultimately, the conversation explored what happens when traditionally separate disciplines begin to merge, and whether our understanding of art is expanding along with them.
Performances
Performances also played an important role throughout this year’s fair, inviting visitors to experience art in more participatory and unexpected ways. Among them was Sisters Hope, who transformed part of the Sculpture Garden with a site-specific installation that became their temporary home during the fair. Visitors were invited to step into their universe and take part in rituals and shared experiences, turning the garden into a living artistic landscape and creating encounters that blurred the boundaries between artwork, performance and audience.

Studio Visits
Studio visits offered another opportunity to experience art beyond the fair and to get closer to the artists and their creative processes.
Among this year’s visits was a trip to the studio of Mads Hyldgaard, represented by Tempesta Gallery, where guests were invited into his working environment to discover both past and new works. The visit offered a closer look at his artistic practice and process, providing insight into how ideas and works develop within the space where they are created.
Guests were also welcomed into the studio of FOS, represented by Nils Stærk, for a closer look at his artistic practice and working process. Surrounded by works, materials and ongoing projects, the visit offered a unique insight into the ideas and processes behind his work and the environment in which they take shape.
